HEMINGFORD ABBOTS GOLF CLUB LOCAL RULES 1. OUT OF BOUNDS Rule 27 a) Beyond any fence, hedge or wall defining the perimeter of the course. b) Beyond any white stakes defining Out Of Bounds, at the 1st, 2nd, to the right of the 4th and to the right of the 9th. c) Balls lying on the driving range. d) On or beyond the clubhouse and surrounding artificial areas, the greenkeeper's sheds, and the practice putting green. 2. WATER HAZARDS Rule 26 Yellow stakes denote water hazards and red stakes denote lateral water hazards. Relief may be taken under penalty of one stroke. 3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR Rule 25 All tree plantations and staked trees under 6ft are taken as Ground Under Repair (G.U.R.) and relief must be taken without penalty. 4. STONES AND RAKES IN BUNKERS Rule 24 These are deemed movable obstructions and relief may be taken without penalty. Rakes should be replaced in bunkers after use. 5. OTHER RULES Protective screens around greens, tees and the like, areas of artificial turf and distance markers (black and red posts located 150 yards from the centre of each green) are movable obstructions and relief may be taken without penalty. PLEASE SEE THE CLUB NOTICE BOARD FOR ANY ADDITIONAL LOCAL RULES CURRENTLY IN FORCE. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETRIEVE BALLS BEYOND ANY BOUNDARY OF THE COURSE. PLEASE REPAIR PITCH MARKS AND REPLACE DIVOTS.
