About the Club
Hemingford Abbots Golf Club was established in 1991 by Ray and Joan Paton as both a members' club and a pay and play facility. We are proud of our reputation as "The Friendly One" and continue to operate the course for the maximum enjoyment of it's members and other users. Although we insist upon certain standards, the absence of stuffiness and elitism allows everyone to be treated equally and fairly in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Our Members and pay and play customers have been enjoying their golfing leisure time here at Hemingford Abbots and we would like to invite individuals, groups and societies of all golfing standards to come and enjoy our friendly happy atmosphere whilst testing their skills on our course.
The Course and Facilities
The 9-hole course has varied tee positions to offer 18 holes over 5414 yards. It was designed and built to USGA Specifications by the owner, Ray Paton, and offers a fair but firm challenge to golfers of all levels of ability. Our greens are in play almost all year round. The Club hosts many competitions throughout the golfing year and as a fully-affiliated member of the EGU (English Golf Union) has a busy fixture list of it's own.

The clubhouse bar offers members and visiting golfers an excellent service with fine bottled beers and wines, bar meals, and various choices of organised meals for visiting groups and societies that we are confident will round off your golfing day and encourage you to come again.
As part of the Hemingford Abbots Golf Complex we are next to a large and well-stocked retail golf superstore with a modern 40-bay driving range, automatic tees, and a superb short-game practice area. Full restaurant and conferencing facilities are also available. There is also a children's day care facility. This really is a great place to come for your golf and all your golfing needs.
Future Plans
Planning permission has been sought for the provision of accommodation for visiting golfers and conference attendees. Further details will be provided when available.
